Samhain

I'm celebrating Halloween - or better - Samhain (as the old celts named this festivity) in my own way: I prepare a Pumpkin soup, light a candle and hear some Irish or Celtic music (The Dubliners, Enya, Patrick Ball and his celtic harp or Irish folk music like this)...Samhain means:"end of summer" and is the beginning of the dark winter months.
Happy Samhain to all!

I never really thought about putting on Celtic music for Halloween. I think I'll look for my dusty Chieftains cd!

A lovely happy painting and sounds like a wonderful celebration. Thank you for putting the pagan name to Halloween. I knew I knew it but I forgot! Yes, I too think playing Celtic music is a great idea. Interesting that I dont have any! Happy Day, Suki

What an inspiring interpretation of fireworks and catherine wheels.
Enya is one of my favourites of all time - great music for your celebrations.

Well, it's not cancy corn but it's lovely and a very nice way to end summer. Beautiful sketch!
