There are more and more people around who use the Moleskine Diary as a sort of sketchbook. Although the paper is quite unsuitable for sketching, I bought one in early 2007 and have been sketching in there, mostly with pen and ink and/or watercolour. If you are careful and if you don't use much water, the results are quite well. The paper is very thin, but it accepts watercolour better than the Moleskine Notebook with thicker paper.
Es gibt mehr und mehr Leute, die das Moleskine Tagebuch (Eine Seite pro Tag) als eine Art Skizzenbuch verwenden. Obwohl das Papier zum Skizzieren relativ ungeeignet ist, kaufte ich mir ein solches Buch und habe darin mit Stiften, Tusche und Wasserfarben gemalt. Wenn man vorsichtig ist und nicht viel Wasser verwendet, sind die Resultate ganz gut. Das Papier ist sehr dünn, aber es nimmt Aquarellfarben besser an als das Notizbuch von Moleskine mit dem dickeren Papier.

what a great drawing! That's great to know about the paper type in that moleskine too. I recently bought one for next year's daily diary and want to also use it for drawing, so thanks for writing about this. Helpful info about the watercolor.
