When my husband went to a ski event in Levi, Finland in 2004, he took a photo of some Sami people who came there to welcome their guests. I like the photo, because I am very interested in folk art traditions in general. Since then, I wanted to draw this woman in her folk costume. Today, I finally did it. Als mein Mann 2004 zu einem Ski-Event nach Levi in Finnland ging, machte er ein Photo von einigen Lappen, die gekommen ware, um ihre Gäste zu begrüßen. Ich finde dieses Photo schön, weil ich mich allgemein sehr für Volkskunst und traditionelle Kleidung interessiere. Seit damals wollte ich schon diese Frau in ihrer Tracht skizzieren. Heute habe ich es endlich getan. Je mehr ich jetzt wieder male und zeichne, umso mehr sehe ich um mich herum, was ich skizzieren möchte...
