Winter is back

Yesterday and the day before we got a lot of snow again. The birds are ignoring the cold and sing like in springtime...
Gestern und am Tag zuvor hat es fast ununterbrochen geschneit. Die Vögel ignorieren die Kälte und singen wie im Frühling...

While I don't enjoy the cold and snow, I do enjoy your painting of it :) Stay warm.

Evokes the whiteness, cosiness and cold of a snowy landscape.

This is really beautiful - it makes me think of some of my favorite Vlamincks.

You are busy with your beautiful paintings and scarf, arranging blocks of colour. Look forward to seeing it finished, clever you ! It's snowy and dull here in Sweden, I too am trying to brighten things up with Spring flowers on my kitchen table, the beautiful fresh clours beg to be painted don't they ?! Take care X Ellie

I have been sitting all evening looking through art books for inspiration. This painting of your could easily be an inspiration. The composition is sound and the scene, it could be 1809 or 2009. Enchanting Claudia!

I agree with mARTa - its an enchanting piece. Timeless and emotive. Love the touch of warm winter sun. Hopefully we have seen the end of snow here in England.
