Rooster

Recently,I took a photo of a beautiful rooster and made a sketch from that photo. As it is very difficult to draw animals while they move around, I think it's o.k. to sketch them from photos, too.

10x12 cm (5x3,5 in) Pigma Micron Pen and watercolours on Brunnen Skizzen paper (110g).

Lovely rooster, Claudia. I like the highlights you saved on his feathers and the simple sketch of the ground detail too. I tried to make this larger, to better see your work - but couldn't. Is there any reason you don't post your paintings larger? They deserve it.

Thank you, Brian and Robyn!

@Robyn: I'm afraid the sketch isn't very big, only 10x12 cms. When I post it, I normally reduce the scan to 72 dpi; that's why it came out even a little smaller...

This is beautiful Claudia! I love the color and can imagine the rooster moving about. I haven't seen a real rooster in years! I also enjoyed your coffee sketches. I too love coffee! Me encantan tus dibujos!
