Luzern-street scene

Last year in summer, my husband and I went to Luzern, Switzerland. We spent a nice weekend there, enjoying art exhibitions, good food and nice weather. Like always, I took (too many) photos...As I always want to see as many things as I can when I'm travelling around, I scarcely have the time to sketch in tranquility. Therefore, I prefer to sketch afterwards (from photos I did during the travel) and I enjoy that very much, although I know that these sketches aren't as lively as if I would have drawn them on the spot...

I know what you mean about having no quiet time to sketch while visiting but this is great. It really tells us about what you saw.

Also ich bin begeistert! Genialer Sketch.

i really like this watercolour. and i do agree, it usually is rushed and there are other friends who i couldnt hold up. I too take a ton of photos hoping to convert some to paintings when i return but quite often they just stay on my computer. I do get back to them on rainy days looking for a reference.
