EDM 113




When we visited Sylt, a German island, in 2003, I saw this blue fence and gate and took a photo,because I wanted to sketch it sometime. The people of Sylt love the Cerulean Blue and you can find this particular colour on fences, gates, doors, boats, chinaware and textiles...




Als wir 2003 Sylt einen Besuch abstatteten, sah ich dieses wunderschön Gartentor und machte sofort ein Photo, denn ich wollte dieses Tor eigentlich malen; aber dazu hatte ich damals keine Zeit. Die Leute auf Sylt lieben Coelinblau und man kann diese Farbe überall finden, z.B. auf Gartentoren, Zäunen, Türen, Booten, Keramik und Textilien...

Pretty painting... blue... you just made blue my favorite color. I also liked the quote by Hunderwasser... I bought a print by him back in the 1970"s... still have it. wonder if it's worth more that I paid for it? not that I would sell it though!

claudia, what a lovely painting and i love the blue fence and gate. Looks very bright and cheerful, even though i know that blue isnt supposed to be bright and cheerful!
