"Perchtn" run

Yesterday, I went to see a "Perchtn" run, a very ancient tradition here in upper Bavaria. If you are curious about what it is, go here.

Just before it started, a heavy hail occured, but as the "Percht" is related to "Frau Holle" (Mother Hulda) and as mother Hulda is responsible for snow and hail, this was o.k.!

I parked my car s o m w h e r e in the village where the run started. ( I don't know the village, although it is nearby). After having gone for about 45 minutes with the whole crowd, I had difficulties to find my car again...I walked around for another 15 minutes or so, and finally I found it...that was "Perchtn" magic, wasn't it?

I checked out the link and found it very interesting - superb photos of the 'monsters'. Also liked your previous snow painting. Must look beautiful in real life too. We had one weekend of snow in East Anglia but it soon disappeared.
